YEREVAN. – The interim Government of Armenia has not commenced talks with ruling Republican Party former MP, businessman Harutyun Pambukyan so that, after the bankruptcy of Armavia Airline Company—which is Armenia’s national carrier—, he may organize, with appropriate investments, aviation passenger transportation in Armenia. Pambukyan himself told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“General Department of Civil Aviation Head Artyom Movsisyan already denied this information. I, too, confirm that these rumors are not true,” Pambukyan added.  

In his words, if there were such thing, they have nothing to hide, and therefore they would have informed this openly.  

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, the interim Government has commenced talks with Harutyun Pambukyan so that, after the bankruptcy of Armavia Airline Company, he may organize, with appropriate investments, aviation passenger transportation in Armenia, Zhoghovurd daily reported.    

“In an interview with Zhoghovurd, however, the Armenian Government-Affiliated General Department of Civil Aviation Head Artyom Movsisyan denied these rumors. 

To note, Armavia Airline Company stopped its operations as of April 1, [and] due to accumulated debts, and it is preparing to commence a bankruptcy process,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
