YEREVAN. – Armenia’s First President, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, on Saturday was elected chairman of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Party.
Ter-Petrosyan was unanimously nominated and elected ANC Party Chairman.
Earlier, the party adopted its charter and appointed its 44-member board.
To note, the founding convention of the Armenian National Congress Party was held on Saturday, during which Levon Ter-Petrosyan addressed the event, and reflected on the establishment of the party, the current domestic political situation, and the forthcoming capital city Yerevan Council election.
Following his address, Ter-Petrosyan left the convention.
