YEREVAN.- The outflow of skilled professionals is typical for all countries, head of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises Karen Vardanyan told a briefing.

“We have 10,000 people working in IT sector and the outflow makes 500 people a year,” Vardanyan said. He believes the outflow can be stopped by facilitating creation of local companies.

“The salary of qualified personnel in the IT field in Armenia is so high that we are faced with immigration of professionals. For example, a senior engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology asked to find him a job in the IT sector in Armenia,” Vardanyan emphasized.
