YEREVAN. – The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will hold an Executive Body session on Thursday at 6pm and, subsequently, an RPA Board session at 7:30pm, Hraparak daily reports.      

“The matter of forming the new Government is on the agenda of both sessions. Those in RPA do not know whether or not changes are expected [in the makeup of the Cabinet]. They claim that [Acting PM] Tigran Sargsyan will remain at his post.  

At some point there were ‘certain variations’ with respect to the Government’s structural changes and to some key—including the Ministry of Defense and other services—plans, but [President] Serzh Sargsyan decided not to make substantial changes for the time being, [and] to wait until the waters of the [past] presidential and the [forthcoming capital city] Yerevan [Council] elections clear.  

In addition, in the case when it was said, until now, that the [governmental] changes will be made in September, now, the end of the year is noted,” Hraparak writes.
