YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party Vice-Chairman Armen Martirosyan, who heads the Heritage-led “Barev [Hello], Yerevan” bloc’s list for the Yerevan Council election that will be conducted on May 5, is summoned to the Special Investigation Service (SIS). Martirosyan himself told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am, and informed that he is called in for questioning in connection with the events that occurred in downtown Yerevan on April 9.      

“To be honest, I am not much concerned that they might make an unpleasant surprise [for me at SIS],” he added.  

To note, there was a scuffle on April 9 between the political opposition activists and the law enforcement and, as a result, Martirosyan had suffered injuries. In addition, a case was filed against him, and on charges of not obeying the lawful requirement of the police.
