MOSCOW. – Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs will meet in Krakow this May. The meeting was announced by Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian after the meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

Minister Nalbandian said Azerbaijan should not reject proposals of the OSCE Minsk Group, RIA Novosti reported.

“If Azerbaijani side really does not want to maintain status quo, they should not have rejected the co-chairs’ proposals,” he said.

Edward Nalbandian stressed that Azerbaijan rejected not only basic principles on the Karabakh, but the proposals concerning confidence-building measures, such as removal of snipers, strengthening of ceasefire regime, creation of mechanisms to investigate incidents along the line of contact.

Armenian Foreign Minister said Armenia’s position is in line with the stance of the OSCE Minsk Group.

“It would be better if Azerbaijan agreed to move to the resolution on the background of the statement made by the presidents of the co-chairing states, the move to which Armenia agreed,” he said.
