YEREVAN. – Armenia’s President, Serzh Sargsyan, on Friday received Russian Federation Ambassador Vyacheslav Kovalenko, who is ending his diplomatic mission in Armenia, the President’s Press Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
President Sargsyan extended his thanks to Ambassador Kovalenko for the efforts, during his tenure in Armenia, to develop Armenian-Russian strategic and allied relations. In the President’s words, the past several years were quite productive for Armenia in terms of strengthening ties and deepening cooperation with Russia. Serzh Sargsyan added that Armenia is interested in deepening these relations.
In his turn, Ambassador Vyacheslav Kovalenko noted that he will leave Armenia likewise with a sense of satisfaction, and that he is proud to be able to contribute to the development of Armenian-Russian ties. Kovalenko also assured that he will continue to be a friend of Armenia and play a part in strengthening friendship between Armenia and Russia.
