YEREVAN. – Prosperous Armenia member Naira Zohrabyan called “clownery” the way in which authorities are implementing return of deposits to the population.

On Saturday, Prosperous Armenia members met with voters in Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan within the framework of municipal election campaign.

Zohrabyan said their faction has prepared a new bill which will tackle the problem if it is approved by majority in parliament.

The draft bill prepared by the Prosperous Armenia party suggests that deposits will be paid regardless of the current social situation of the investor.

“But I am not optimistic. The political majority will speak about lack of resources,” she emphasized.

The election to the Yerevan Council is slated for May 5.
