Georgian PM Bidzina Ivanishvili said he tried to reconcile Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Economy can play a considerable role in settlement of the conflicts, Ivanishvili said during the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s 83rd Rose-Roth seminar, Interpressnews reported.

“I remember my visits to Armenia and Azerbaijan. I had the first attempt to define how real the prospect of reconciliation is. Three sides – Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia – feel the damage to economic relations caused by the conflicts. Development of the region would be much easier if the conflicts were settled,” he said, answering the question of the Armenian delegate.
