YEREVAN. – Aside from the economic and psychological factors, there is also the factor of a third party involvement among the reasons for divorce in Armenia, sociologist Aharon Adibekyan said during a press conference on Saturday.
As per Adibekyan, Armenia is at an average level in the number of divorces.
“The more prosperous a country is, the economic ties are that much weaker,” the sociologist noted, and stressed that each age group has its own reasons for divorce.
“The riskiest is the 30 years of age, since when the child goes to school, the woman is relieved from family concerns and she tries to establish herself,” Adibekyan stated.
In his words, there are divorces at the 40 years of age, too, and 5-6-percent divorces are recorded among the elderly.
