YEREVAN. – Mayoral candidate Armen Martirosyan has no intention to comment on the election results, he told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“When the dust settles, we will see how the things will turn it,” he said.

Asked whether Heritage has an intention to challenge election results by holding rallies today or tomorrow, Martirosyan said the demonstration is planned for May 9 as it was previously announced.

The Central Electoral Commission on Monday issued the preliminary results of Sunday’s voting. In line with these results, the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, the non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party, and the opposition “Barev, Yerevan” bloc will comprise the new Council of Elders of Yerevan.
