YEREVAN. – “Latin American style” of political struggle in Armenia has been exhausted, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan believes.

The previous parliamentary, presidential and municipal vote showed that working from election to election is ineffective.

“The parties must work for years to have a chance for success. They must express their opinion and try to carry out the election program. Not a single party, except for the ruling one, has financial, organizational or human resources necessary for political struggle,” Iskandaryan, Director of Caucasus Institute, explained.

The expert said he could hardly imagine cooperation between the Prosperous Armenia party and “Barev, Yerevan” bloc in the Yerevan Council.
