YEREVAN. – Armenian coalition government’s junior partner, Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP) member Hovhannes Shahinyan has no plans to become Agriculture Minister, and such information is inaccurate.

Shahinyan stated the abovementioned during a press conference on Wednesday.

To the query as to whether RLP was not well prepared for the capital city Yerevan Council of Elders election that was conducted on May 5, Shahinyan responded as follows:

“It was the citizens’ choice, and all political forces must draw conclusions from the election results.”

The RLP member is of the view that the political season in Armenia is over and the country is entering a very important phase, when the political parties will begin preparing for the 2017 parliamentary and the 2018 presidential elections.

“The parliamentary and the presidential elections will be more heated, and the political forces must rearrange their forces,” Hovhannes Shahinyan concluded.
