Armenia’s joining UN Conventions on transit may reduce transport expenditures

YEREVAN. – Armenia’s joining the UN Convention on Transit Trade of Land-locked Countries and Convention and Statute on Freedom of Transit will theoretically have positive impact on country’s transport expenditures.

Political analyst Alexander Markarov said the expenditures on transportation of transit cargo may reduce.

On May 24 Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Garen Nazarian handed over to Secretary General Ban Ki-moon documents on Armenia’s joining the mentioned international conventions.
