YEREVAN. – President of Armenia will not participate in the EurAsEC summit in Astana, which will take place on Wednesday, RFE/RL reported.

Armenia has a status of an observer in the organization. Ahead of the summit, Kyrgyzstan applied for membership in the Customs Union, which currently includes Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, while Ukraine applied for observer status in the Union.

As reported earlier, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan did not participate in the informal meeting of CSTO heads of states which took place on May 28 in Bishkek.
