YEREVAN. – Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council recalled the reasons why president did not participate in the informal CSTO summit.
Arthur Baghdasaryan said Serzh Sargsyan did not head to Bishkek because he was participating in the events held on the occasion of the First Republic Day.
“Armenian president’s decision not to participate in the CSTO informal summit was announced in due time,” he said.
Baghdasaryan added that the official summit of CSTO is planned for the end of this year. He did not agree with the opinion about crisis in Armenia-Russia relations. Secretary of the National Security Council pointed out high level political dialogue and strategic cooperation in all fields.
Two visits of high-ranking Russian officials are expected next year, he said not disclosing the names.
