YEREVAN. – Last night, a diversionary team from the Azerbaijani army attacked at line of contact with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, in the direction of Karvachar.

After a long confrontation, however, the Armenian side drove the diversionary team back, Norlur.am reports.

According to the website, several servicemen of the Armenian army suffered light injuries, but there were no casualties.

“The adversary behaved in the same way these days. It always tries to create new tensions at the border, but it receives the retaliation it deserves and is driven back. The adversary bears the responsibility for what occurred. The [Armenian] Armed Forces are in full control of the situation, [and] we do not have any casualties,” the Armenian Defense Minister’s press secretary, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, wrote in his Facebook account in this connection.
