YEREVAN. – Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan on Thursday received newly appointed Russia’s Ambassador Ivan Volynkin.

Welcoming the Ambassador, Arthur Baghdasaryan congratulated him on the appointment and wished success during his mission in Armenia.

The sides gave appraisal of Armenia-Russia relations. Arthur Baghdasaryan stressed that Russia, being a strategic partner, is actively cooperating with Armenia in different fields. Close contacts are established between the security councils of two states, he added.

They noted that with every year relations are deepening in the field of economy, defense and other areas. Secretary of National Security Council and Ambassador Volynkin highlighted cooperation within the CSTO and international agencies.

Russian Ambassador assured he would do his utmost for deepening of bilateral ties.
