UAE-based Air Arabia will offer a twice weekly service to Yerevan from August 16.
Flights will depart from Sharjah International Airport on Tuesdays and Fridays, arabianbusiness.com reported, quoting the statement issued by the company.
“Armenia is rapidly emerging as a must-visit destination for tourists seeking great culture and history alongside fantastic scenery and outdoor activities,” said Adel Ali, group CEO, Air Arabia.
Last month it was reported that Air Arabia applied to the Armenian Government-Affiliated General Department of Civil Aviation (GDCA) with a request to conduct two weekly flights to UAE.
Solely Fly Dubai airline company conducted flights between Armenia and UAE four times per week.
