YEREVAN. – Newly appointed Spain’s Ambassador to Armenia (residence in Moscow) Jose Ignacio Carbajal Garate on Monday handed in his credentials to Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that newly appointed Ambassador will contribute to development of Armenia-Spain friendly relations, sharing his experience and knowledge.  

Ambassador Carbajal Garate assured he would take effective moves to expand bilateral ties.

The sides discussed intensification of political dialogue, cooperation within international agencies, expansion of economic and trade ties, development of contacts in the fields of science and culture. They underscored importance of Armenian FM’s upcoming visit to Spain.
