YEREVAN. – Spain’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, José Ignacio Carbajal Gárate—whose diplomatic residence is in Moscow—, on Tuesday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

Congratulating the ambassador on his appointment, Sargsyan noted that Armenia wants to develop relations with Spain in all directions, the President’s Press Office informs.

In his turn, the Spanish diplomat assured that he will do his utmost to deepen cooperation and to further strengthen relations between the two countries.

The President and the ambassador underscored the need to expand the Spanish capital’s and companies’ involvement in Armenia’s economy, to intensify exchanges in the cultural and tourism sectors, and to cooperate within international organizations.
