The Armenian-Turkish relations will never improve unless Turkey admits the Armenian Genocide, Lyudmila Harutyunyan, Director of the Center for Regional Integration and Conflict Settlement, told reporters on March 5.

The sociologist is sure Turkey will admit the Armenian Genocide – but not now. Turkey has to replace its denial policy by a policy of reconciliation. Armenians, for their part, must accept the peace provided the Armenian-Turkish protocols do not contain any preconditions. Mrs. Harutyunyan believes the talks about the reopening of the Armenian-Turkish border can hardly be considered bilateral relations. She pointed out that both sides have to make concessions to establish the relations.
