YEREVAN. – Armenian armed forces are prepared and equipped enough to resist any encroachment of the adversary, Secretary of National Security Council said.

“Besides, Armenia’s armed forces are renewed with modern weapons and equipment, qualitative components of which are surpassing Azerbaijan’s equipment,” he said during a joint press conference with Secretary General of CSTO Nikolay Bordyuzha.

Although, any purchase of weapons by the adversary “contain elements of concern”, the issue is in the focus and Armenia continues renewing the armed forces, he added.

Nikolay Boryuzha noted that measures taken by the Armenian leadership on establishment of national armed forces, national security system as well as CSTO’s efforts on helping Armenia to ensure security, suggest that Armenia has quite high degree of security.
