All mankind and every country must member the Armenian Genocide and the mass tragedies it was followed by, Ukrainian political analyst said.

“The Armenian Genocide opened a chapter of mass crimes against humanity of the 20th century and, to large extent, served as an example,” Mikhail Beletskiy told Analitika.at.ua.

“By adopting the draft bill [on Armenian Genocide], Ukraine would display respect for the memory of genocide victims and make its contribution to restoring the historical justice.”

A bill recognizing the mass annihilation of the Armenians in the Ottoman Empire was registered in the Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council; i.e., the Parliament) of Ukraine on June 6.
