YEREVAN. – Nigeria’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Alhaji Tukur Mani—whose diplomatic residence is in Tehran, Iran—on Tuesday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.
Congratulating the ambassador on his appointment, Sargsyan wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Armenia, the President’s Press Office informs.
Sargsyan noted that Armenia highly appreciates Nigeria’s activities within the African Union and underscores this country’s contribution to world peace and stability.
The interlocutors stressed the need to form a legal and contractual framework, between Armenia and Nigeria, to develop cooperation in the domains of mutual interest.
Aside from bilateral relations, Serzh Sargsyan and Alhaji Tukur Mani also highlighted the two countries’ collaboration within international organizations.
