Moldovan Ombudsman Aurelia Grigoriu continues complaining about her fate. There is an impression she wants to present herself as “unhappy truth-lover who is persecuted by the authorities.”

The true goal of her behavior will become clear in the near future, now she has shifted to complaining about Moldovan authorities. Grigoriu is accusing her country’s authorities of attempting to put psychological pressure, debasing, and offending her.  

“I am facing pressures. Reports are made that there are insanitary conditions in my mother’s house and it is in a bad condition. They use my name in these reports, while my mother and sister are living there. My mother was a prisoner of the concentration camp and I can not understand this kind of attitude anyway,” she said in an interview with Azerbaijani APA agency.

She said that Moldovan Prosecutor General had instructed the district attorney to investigate and resolve this issue till August 15.

“I’m facing information war, as if they are going to create the image of the enemy of the nation. This is the mentality of the current authorities, they intend to dismiss me, I was appointed to this post by the former government. It is clear that the current authorities are going to dismiss me, but they fail, because it requires three fourths of votes of Parliament,” she said.

Earlier one of the Azerbaijani media outlets offered to grant her asylum in Azerbaijan.

As informed earlier, during a recent international forum that was held in Yerevan, Grigoriu had said: “Armenia has occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan’s territories committing genocide against Azerbaijanis.” This statement caused a negative reaction in Armenia and in Moldova, alike. The statement was condemned and it was considered a provocation aimed at exacerbating the situation. In addition, the Armenian community of Moldova informed about its intention to formally demand from the Moldovan parliament the removal of Aurelia Grigoriu from office.
