YEREVAN. – Armenian National Security Service (NSS) has confirmed reports on detention of a citizen of Georgia.
Allahverdi Pelengov was detained for illegal crossing the border, NSS press service told Armenian News-NEWS.am. Criminal proceedings have been instituted.
As reported earlier, Georgian citizen of Azerbaijani origin illegally crossed the border with Armenia. Azerbaijani media tried to present the story as “hostage taking” and did their best to make a mess of the incident.
