YEREVAN. – Armenia is not a serious factor for Russia, former chairman of parliamentary committee said comemnting on weapaon sale to Azerbaijan.

Hovhannes Igityan, board member of the Pan-Armenian National Movement, said by selling weapons to Azerbaijan, Russia violated international treaties, according to which it is prohibited to sell weapons of mass destruction in the conflict areas

“Secondly, Russia violated the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe that was signed by Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Thirdly, there is the question of Russia’s presence in the region,” he told reporters.

From political viewpoint, Armenia is faced with a choice between the DCFTA and Customs Union.

“We must hold an economic analysis and try to solve a political problem,” Igityan emphasized.
