The session of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Foreign Ministers opened in Sochi on Monday.

The Foreign Ministers, among them Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian, will discuss proposals on increasing effectiveness of Tajik-Afghan border and situation in Syria.

Addressing the participants, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov said Russia is deeply concerned over Syria developments and stands for speediest settlement and launch of dialogue between the conflicting parties.

He said Syrian crisis would have negative consequences not only for regional security, but for the whole system of international law.

“I think, today we can support the international community’s efforts on Syria,” Russia Today quotes Lavrov.
