YEREVAN. – Representatives of ICRC Yerevan office on Tuesday met with the relatives of Armenian captive Hakob Injighulyan and conveyed the letter, head of communication program of the Yerevan ICRC office Zara Amatuni told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The ICRC does not reveal the details of the meeting as well as content of the letter.
Arman Injighulyan, Hakob’s cousin, said the ICRC representatives informed relatives about his intention to be transferred to the third state.
However, this statement was not officially confirmed. State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons told Armenian News-NEWS.am that they have no official information about Injighulyan’s alleged intention to be sent to the third country.
Armenian soldier Hakob Injighulyan (born in 1991) found himself in the territory under the control of the adversary. According to preliminary information, Injighulyan turned up there on August 8 at around 3am, while carrying out his military service, by crossing the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic-Azerbaijan border, and as a result of losing his orientation in the area.
