YEREVAN. At present, there is no formal process toward removing Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party National Assembly (NA) Faction Secretary Zaruhi Postanjyan from the NA delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

Postanjyan herself stated the above-said during a press conference on Thursday.

Reflecting on her question posed to President Serzh Sargsyan at PACE, and with respect to whether or not he had lost €70 million at casinos, the opposition MP stated that she does not doubt the veracity of this information, since this was recalled by Sargsyan’s close circles.

“Serzh Sargsyan represents a criminal clan. I do not recognize Serzh Sargsyan as the President of Armenia, and I will do everything so that the Armenian people may truly have elected authorities,” Postanjyan added.

Speaking about the fellow opposition’s criticism of her for posing such question to Sargsyan, Zaruhi Postanjyan stated that she understands these criticisms.

“It certainly should be like that. [But] we represent different generations; they are people led by the Soviet mentality,” Heritage’s MP noted.

Zaruhi Postanjyan added that she respects, but does not share, their view.
