YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan attended the official opening of the regional conference of the education ministers of the European Union Eastern Partnership and the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation countries.
To note, the event is held on Thursday and Friday in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.
The discussants will examine the development of the European higher education area.
The PM noted that the conference agenda is at the focus of the Armenian government, informs the Government press service.
“Major changes are taking place in the modern world, and all governments try to be correctly oriented when choosing their strategy. We need a generation that can live in a rapidly changing world,” Sargsyan said.
In the Armenian premier’s conviction, the ongoing reforms in the higher education system need to be observed within a complete chain.
“If you have received a higher education, this does not mean you are ready to cope with the modern challenges; you should always acquire knowledge. At the same time, it is apparent that universities are the foundation of modern society,” Tigran Sargsyan maintained.
