YEREVAN. – The disenchanted voter should raise the matter of Armenian capital city Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan’s resignation.

Opposition Heritage Party Secretary Stiopa Safaryan, who is also member of the opposition “Barev [Hello], Yerevan” faction in Yerevan Council of Elders, noted the abovementioned during a press conference on Friday.

“Regardless of my view, a part of the society has voted for Taron Margaryan and the RPA [i.e., the Ruling Republican Party]. I say this with regret; I feel sorry for you and me. 

“The public should also taste the fruits its selection. There is absolutely no need to demand the resignation [of Margaryan]. If a man has believed, [and] has voted, he should carry his punishment. 

“It is not up to me to demand his resignation. He who is disappointed with his selection should demand [it],” Safaryan stated, in particular.
