YEREVAN. – An unextinguished cigarette caused death of an old man in Armenia.
The police of Gavar received a fire alert around 11:20am on Sunday. Janik Shahrikyan (born in 1931) died in a fire in his house.
The grandson told rescuers that the man had been smoking in a bedroom and had not put out the cigarette properly.
An unextinguished cigarette was a reason of tragedy. The police have appointed a forensic examination and are investigating the incident.
