YEREVAN.  – Heritage party members are unaware of the reasons for Ruben Hakobyan’s decision to quit the position of head of the parliamentary faction.

Armen Martirosyan, vice chairman of Heritage party, told reporters he had come to the parliament on Tuesday to clarify the reasons of his resignation.

The party held a meeting on Tuesday morning with the participation of Armen Martirosyan, secretary of parliamentary group Zaruhi Postanjyan and MP Tevan Poghosyan.

Martirosyan did not disclose the details, noting that Hakobyan’s decision was a surprise.

Earlier Ruben Hakobyan confirmed the rumors about his resignation from the position of a parliamentary faction leader.
