YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday visited Shahnazaryan wine and brandy house in Yeghvard, Kotayk Region.
President toured blending, brandy aging and bottling departments, talked with the staff and got acquainted with the company's development programs, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reported.
The investment program for the construction of the plant was launched in 2009. The plant began working in 2012. Currently, the company founded by Samvel Shahnazaryan employs 80 people.
Shahnazaryan said the company exported 107,800 bottles of brandy in 2011 and 746,200 million bottles last year.
“We are going to expand production and increase the capacity of the alcohol storage up to 5 million liters,” he said.
Russia is company’s main market, followed by Ukraine. In 2013 the first batch of brandy was exported to Kazakhstan.
