YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition National Self-Determination Union (NSU) Chairman and ex-presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan was offered citizenship and full medical treatment in Belgium and in the Netherlands.

Hayrikyan himself stated the above-said during a press conference on Wednesday.

He noted that all heroes of the Armenians are fleeing.

“But as I always say, every Armenian should be that last drop that fills the cup of patience; that is how I look at my destiny.

“At the same time, I came to the conclusion that if I am unable to craft something, I will craft an image that is completely devoted to his homeland.

“[And] recollecting all this, I turned down the offer,” the NSU leader stated.

Paruyr Hayrikyan added, however, that he needs to go abroad for medical treatment once every three months.
