YEREVAN. – Armenia will liberalize its air transport, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan stated on Wednesday. 

The Government approved the Program on Assurance of Competitive and Continuous Air Transport Services in the Republic of Armenia. 

“The National Competitiveness Council signed an agreement with Mackenzie Company, which hired the best professionals in the world to design the strategy. 

“According to experts, Armenia needs to liberalize [its aviation sector], which [in turn] will boost the [country’s] GDP growth and create new jobs, air transportation will become comfortable, [and] the prices will reduce,” Sargsyan said at the Cabinet meeting.
