YEREVAN. – The authorities of Armenia have lost the sovereignty of the country.

Opposition Armenian National Congress bloc National Assembly (ANC NA) Faction Secretary Aram Manukyan noted the aforementioned at Friday’s NA briefing with news reporters.

Manukyan stressed that Armenia was maintaining its sovereignty in the 1990s and it had numerous friends, but no country was saying anything negative to Armenia with respect to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Today, however, as per the opposition MP, there is no organization saying that Karabakh should be independent based on self-determination.

“When we enter into any organization and you give—and not receive—in its stead, this is called a loss of sovereignty,” Manukyan argued.

In his words, today one cannot find any international organization which says that Armenia is correct in a matter.

According to Aram Manukyan, in the past the Karabakh conflict had three parties—Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh, and Azerbaijan—, but, now, it solely has two parties—Armenia and Azerbaijan—because Armenia is giving way.
