YEREVAN. - Shortcomings were found and subsequent changes were made in the state purchases of Armenia, Deputy Minister of Finance Liana Hunanyan noted during a press conference on Friday.
Specifically, as per Hunanyan, the Professional Experience criteria of the wining participant has become tighter.
Also, in case of refusal to carry out the terms of a contract, the winner of the tender will have to pay a fine in the amount of 2 percent of the contract, but not less than 1 million drams (approx. $2,467).
Liana Hunanyan also informed that, starting from May, the Ministry of Finance specifies the characteristics and maximum prices of the 350 products most often purchased by state agencies, in order to prevent the purchase of goods at a price that is higher than the retail price.
