A passenger who attempted to set an explosive in the aircraft lavatory hidden in his shoes was detained in Washington international airport.
Two F-16 fighter jets were sent to intercept the aircraft heading from Washington to Denver after the information from the airliner on weird behavior of a passenger.
The aircraft landed in Colorado, where the engineer combat brigade, rescuers and firemen arrived, Reuters reports.
Fox News informs that the intruder, Mohammad Al Modadi, was a diplomat of Qatar Embassy in Washington. After the personal search no explosive was found. Boeing 757 had 157 passengers on board plus 6 crew members. Currently he is detained and interrogated by FBI.
