On April 9, another clash between police officers and opposition supporters occurred near RA Constitutional Court. The protestors demanded that the CC acquit Nikol Pashinyan, who is currently imprisoned and demands the cancellation of elections results in Election District #10 in Yerevan on January 10.

The policemen demanded that the demonstrators leave the place, but, after getting a refusal, they pressed the cord back to the opposite side. Vardges Gaspari, an Iranian-Armenian, fell down on the earth, holding a placard with Nikol Pashinyan’s picture so tight that the policemen could not take it from him.

The CC once again declined Pashinyan’s request for being present at the hearing his appeal. His lawyers, Vahe Grigoryan and Vahe Hovsipyan, had to waive their client, arguing they had no right to participate in an illegal trial and act against their client’s interests. The CC had to adjourn hearing sine die.
