Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes that the US needs to have some bearing on the Ukrainian authorities, to achieve a cessation of military operations, Interfax news agency reported.
As per Lavrov, a cessation of military operations will be followed by a negotiation process.
In addition, and in the Russia FM’s view, NATO’s and the European Union’s military assistance to Ukraine would have run contrary to all agreements that are reached.
