NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said the Alliance will not close door before new members.

The Alliance will strengthen partner relations with the countries and organizations around the globe, he said by opening the meeting of North Atlantic Council, UNN reported.

NATO will help the partners to strengthen their defense and security sectors if they need support.

Rasmussen added that global security is faced with new challenges, among them Russia's actions against Ukraine, instability and extremism in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as new challenges such as cyberterrorism and missile attacks.
