“The ceasefire between the conflicting forces in eastern Ukraine inspires hope for the establishment of a complete and irreversible peace in this region, reads the statement by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.
 

In the Belarusian leader’s words, the Ukrainian conflict was jeopardizing regional and international security, alike.

Lukashenko also stressed the Russian and the Ukrainian presidents’ role in the signing of this truce, and underscored their initiatives and proposals.

According to him, the Customs Union-Ukraine-European Union format enabled to include, in the negotiation process, the parties that are truly interested in the establishment of peace in Ukraine and in Europe, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
