The OSCE mission on Wednesday conducted a monitoring of the Line of Contact between the Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan armed forces.

But the monitoring was halted due to the shots fired from the Azerbaijani side.

Subsequently, the parties made respective statements, but the Azerbaijani side went even further.

“Field assistant of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Yevgeny Sharov, who conducted monitoring on the Azerbaijani side, said that in compliance with pre-determined rules for monitoring, units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan didn’t open retaliatory fire on the enemy and necessary conditions for the completion of the monitoring were provided,” APA news agency of Azerbaijan reported allegedly citing Sharov.

It turns out that an OSCE representative is making a statement on behalf of the Azerbaijan MOD.

The OSCE has not yet commented on this message.
