The message of Turkish PM Ahmet Davutoglu on the eighth anniversary of the murder of Hrant Dink is not linked to 2015, spokesperson for Turkish foreign ministry Tanju Bilgic said.

President Erdogan, being a prime minister, sent an important message of condolences to honor memory of Dink, Bilgic said during a press conference. Davutoglu's statement is continuation of this policy.

“Last year political perspective was drawn, and this this year the message was made: we understand the Armenians, and illuminate the road to the future,” he said, assuring that the statements of Erdogan and Davutoglu are not tactical steps ahead of centennial of the 1915 events.
