YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan's provocations in Nagorno-Karabakh and on border with Armenia are conditioned by the approaching centennial of the Armenian Genocide, MP Lernik Aleksanyan told reporters.

He does not believe the recent incidents in Karabakh and Tavush Region would not occur unless Armenia joined the Eurasian Economic Union.

“The reason is not about Eurasian integration, but the anniversary of Baku pogroms and centennial of the Armenian Genocide. Baku will strive to new provocations during this period,” he explained.
