YEREVAN. – The degree of tension created by Azerbaijan on the border with Armenia and on the line of contact with Nagorno-Karabakh at the moment does not require immediate interference of CSTO, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told reporters.
The Minister explained that in case of a critical situation, the matter is discussed by the National Security Council that would advise whether to address CSTO or not.
“I do not think that the recent incidents require interference of CSTO,” the Minister said, adding that the Armenian army proved its combat readiness.
According to him, the army fulfills its task of ensuring security.
