New U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Richard M. Mills Jr. arrives in Yerevan next week, US Embassy tweeted.

As reported earlier, Mills worked in Beirut, Malta, Paris, Dublin, Islamabad, Riyadh and London. In early 90s he also worked as a desk officer for the newly independent Armenia and Azerbaijan, followed by a tour as a political officer at the U.S. Consulate in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Earlier talking to Armenian News-NEWS.am, U.S. Charge d'affaires Clark Price said new ambassador was the first desk officer for Armenia after the fall of Soviet Union, and he knows Armenia for 20-25 years.
